We’ve definitely got more protectory people, although they front for more than just that.

Mel is the closest thing to a protector but i assume that Dreamer would get violent if we were ever threatened?

In that case, something external that causes you to wake up via association is called a trigger. Tulpas also have triggers, for instance I tend to wake up when people talk about cake. A very simple and straightforward trigger is saying a tulpa's name, but it can really be anything. Depending on how the system fronts, sometimes a trigger will cause a headmate to front immedietly. I'm sorry that you woke up because of something negative. That's pretty unusual but it can absolutely happen. The way you phrased your question I was worried there was something not good going on in your noggin that a doctor would need to check out, but it sounds like that's not the case

I think you misunderstood. I simply had an extreme anger reaction that effected the whole system. By effected I mean every tulpa(and zee) had an unreasonably angry or scared reaction along with me. I can be more specific in DM's if needed but the fronting was before this.

Emotional bleed can absolutely occur from a strong reaction like that. Your headmates understand you, and more often than not headmates tend to agree with each other

hey, i just found about tulpamancy.my keyboard is broken so i use an onscreen keyboard which takes years to respond to. My question is how does one create a tulpa (ive read some stuff but am unsure)

@ayaan_gh The gross oversimplified short answer is you create an imagined person in your mind and talk to them. Tulpamancy is the process of convincing yourself a part of your mind actually belongs to your tulpa, or in this case the imagined person. What's cool is this works

I think it would be fine to give your tulpa traits of another character. I think it may be awkward to make them literally that character though, it may be upsetting if they deviate and decide certain aspects of their given personality don't fit them Who's the character?

It worked out well They don't always sound like their voices though because it's not what the body's voice sounds like so it's like we're not "used" to it

Well, the lucky thing about tulpamancy is that most people make tulpas for companionship. They don't need to be a specific kind of tulpa to do that or anything.

you could try to make a list of all the traits that zarya has that you admire/are attached to (and maybe even include some traits from other characters that you admire, perhaps you will find that some traits will be similar to those that zarya has) then you could take that list of traits and consider that your starting point for the traits you would like your tulpa to have

You might find it easier to do passive forcing than active forcing though

you can take your time with making a tulpa if you find it hard to focus sometimes. There's no time limit

Passive forcing is giving your tulpa divided attention. For example, playing a game and talking to your tulpa

Passive forcing also works well with narration, or getting in the habit of talking to your tulpa. It can be helpful to practice striking up a conversation with your tulpa even if you don't expect a response. For example, you could be playing a game and say, "Hey (their name), what do you think of that NPC? Don't they look ridiculous?"

you could say they might form naturally out of your own preferences... clearly there are specific traits that are catching your attention, and your interest in those traits formed naturally... so why wouldn't a tulpa that takes those traits to start with be any less natural?

Amanda has basically been told that she can't be in a relationship with zee (pls don't fucking ask how this came about unless it is important to solving this issue). She has been crying for 20 minutes straight over how she doesn't want to be dissipated,abandoned,etc and that she hates destiny.
